Any user can delete or rename files and folders, unless it has been locked by an admin. If it has been locked, the admin will need to unlock the file or folder first in order to rename or delete this.

You can tell if a file or folder is locked because it will have the padlock symbol next to the file name. You also won't see the option to delete or rename the file.

Renaming a file or folder

Click on the three dot menu next to the file.

Select the Rename option from the menu.

Type the new name of the file or folder into the box and select OK.

The file has now been renamed.

Deleting a file or folder

Click on the three dot menu next to the file and select the Delete option.

A box will appear asking whether you're sure you want to delete the file or folder. Select Delete.

The file or folder has now been removed from the board.

Retrieving a deleted file or folder

If you delete a file or folder by accident, there isn't an undo option on the account to restore it.

You'll need to contact us at support@governorhub.com with the following details and we can pass this over to our tech team to try to retrieve:

  • The name and email of the user who deleted the file or folder

  • The time and date of deletion

  • The name of the board the file or folder was deleted from

  • The name of the folder / subfolder the file or folder was sat in
