Creating folders

To create a new folder, go to the upper right corner of the documents section and select Create new folder.

Enter the name of the new folder and select Create.

Folders and documents are ordered alphabetically.

To re-order your folders, we recommend adding a number at the start of your folder or file name as numbers will be listed at the top of the list, e.g. 1. Policy Documents, 2. Meetings.

Creating a file

Files aren't created on GovernorHub, you will need to upload an existing document to the documents section.

Uploading a file or folder by dragging and dropping from your computer

Open the files you want to upload in a Windows Explorer or Finder window on your computer.

If the files are currently sitting in your downloads folder, you will need to move them to another folder on your computer.

Select the file you want to upload or hold down the ctrl button to select multiple files.

Drag the files from the folder on your computer over to the documents area on GovernorHub.

You can also drag and drop across whole folders.

Note: drag and drop uploading may not be available on some older internet browsers. See below for an alternate method of uploading.

Uploading a file using the + Add button

You can also upload files to GovernorHub by clicking on the + Add button in the upper right corner of the documents section and choosing Upload a file. You'll then be prompted to locate the file or folder on your computer that you wish to upload.

Uploading a folder using the + Add button

The best way to upload a folder is dragging and dropping the folder across, like with the files above.

If your internet browser doesn't support this, you can create a .zip file and upload this to GovernorHub. The contents will then be extracted.

To do this, click on the + Add button in the upper right corner for the documents section and choose Upload a folder.

Select Upload Zip File from the new window.

Select the Zip folder that needs to be uploaded and select Open.

When uploaded, you will see the Uploaded file alert at the top of the Documents section.

The folder will then appear in the Documents area.

Uploading a link to an online file

You can upload a link to an online file, such as a Google Doc.

Click on the + Add button and select Add a web link.

In the pop up menu, enter the name of the file into the Link Name box.

In the Link to box, paste in the link to the online file.

This will create a link to the online file in the documents area.

Upload Limit

Please note there is a 300MB upload limit on any individual file.
