Including a file, when writing a Noticeboard post
If you're writing a post on the noticeboard, you can add a link directly to a folder or file that's already been uploaded to the documents section.
In the noticeboard post box, click on the link icon.
You may need to click into the noticeboard post box for the icons to appear first.
A pop up box will appear.
Click on the folder icon to open up the document search option.
Navigate through the folders from the document menu pop up and select the file that needs to be shared. Choose the Select button.
This will fill out the text to display and URL boxes with the file information.
You can edit the Text to display box, if needed.
Select OK to link the file to the noticeboard post. You can then finish writing your message as usual, and send.
Sharing a link to a file outside of GovernorHub
If you need to share a link to a file that is stored outside of GovernorHub, such as a Google Doc, you'll need to select the link icon within the noticeboard post options.
In the pop up window, enter the name of the document into the Text to display box.
Past the URL of the file into the URL box.
Click OK to include the link into the noticeboard post.
Sharing a document from your computer / desktop
If the file isn't stored in the documents area or online, but is on your computer or device, you will need to upload it to the documents area first. You can't upload a file directly from your device.
Sharing a file directly from the documents section
Find the file within the documents section on GovernorHub that you want to share. Select the three dots next to the file.
From the pop up options, you can select to either Share on noticeboard or Copy link to clipboard.
Share on noticeboard will create a new noticeboard post with the file linked in the post. You can edit the text of the rest of the noticeboard post by clicking into it and deleting / typing.
Copy link to clipboard will copy the link to the document. You can then paste this into the noticeboard board via the link icon on the noticeboard post.
When your file is included on the noticeboard post
Finish writing your message as usual and click the send button to post to the noticeboard with your file included. All users will be able to see this noticeboard post and file, and an email notification will also be sent out.
