Document storage on GovernorHub
Documents on GovernorHub are stored in the cloud. This is so they are accessible by connecting over the internet.
The documents can be stored in folders, much like on your computer. You can find them by clicking on the Documents tab.
Viewing documents
You don't need to download documents to open them, you just need to click on the document's name. This will open the document using GovernorHub's built-in document viewer.
If you receive an error message and the document doesn't open, please check and see whether your browser or pdf viewer needs to run an update.
Uploading documents
Files aren't created on GovernorHub, you will need to upload an existing document to the documents section.
Uploading a file or folder by dragging and dropping from your computer
Open the files you want to upload in a Windows Explorer or Finder window on your computer.
If the files are currently sitting in your downloads folder, you will need to move them to another folder on your computer.
Select the file you want to upload or hold down the ctrl button to select multiple files.
Drag the files from the folder on your computer over to the documents area on GovernorHub.
You can also drag and drop across whole folders.
Note: drag and drop uploading may not be available on some older internet browsers. See below for an alternate method of uploading.
Uploading a file using the + Add button
You can also upload files to GovernorHub by clicking on the + Add button in the upper right corner of the documents section and choosing Upload a file. You'll then be prompted to locate the file or folder on your computer that you wish to upload.
How documents are ordered
Documents and folders are stored alphabetically by default.
To arrange the documents in a different order, you can add a number to the start of the document name, e.g. 1. Procedural Docs. Numbered documents are listed at the top of the documents area, in numerical order.
To do this, click on the three dots next to the document and select Rename from the drop down menu. Rename the document and then click OK to save the updated name.
You can also view documents via when they were last modified. You can click the Last Modified or Name option above the document list to change how the documents are sorted.
Navigating around the documents section
When navigating around the documents section, click on the folder you'd like to access. As you open folders and sub-folders, you'll see a breadcrumb trail of where you are in the upper left hand corner of the documents section.
This lists all the folders and sub-folders that have been clicked through. You can return to any of the folders and sub-folders by selecting them from the trail above the document list.
Problems with documents
If you receive an error message and the document doesn't open, use the Download button (add screenshot)
If you cannot download a file, please check and see whether your browser or pdf viewer needs to run an update.
