Keeping your data secure is a serious business- and we take it very seriously at GovernorHub

As part of our onboarding process, we work with your trust governance professional to identify who will have admin rights to your boards on GovernorHub (the Trust admins). These admins will have more functionality to manage the boards as well as the ability to add and remove people for access. They can do this via the trust / governing board tab.

If a governor requests access to a board, this request will be sent to the admins so that they can either approve or not approve access. There is no other way that access can be granted so you can be assured that your data is safe.

Multi - Factor Authentication

As well as using a secure password, you can set up TOTP (Time based One Time Password) to add additional security to your account. This is simply a secure code that changes every time you sign in, and you’ll get it through a free app on your smartphone or an in-browser tool.

Read our guide on how to set up TOTP on your account here

Data Security

As a trust that takes data protection seriously, you will no doubt have your own Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) to complete. To help you with this we have a pre-prepared questionnaire completed for this purpose that you can read in full here

You can read more about how GovernorHub processes your data here and about how we store and secure your data here
