The Constitution tab is where you can manage and view your board's constitution details, including term information, vacancies, and other important administrative details.

1. What Does the Constitution Tab Show?

  • Board’s Constitution: The tab displays the structure and details of your board’s constitution, based on the Instrument of Government.

  • Terms-of-Office: It shows the start and end dates for each governor’s term. If a governor’s term is nearing its end, you’ll also receive expiry warnings.

  • Current Vacancies: Any vacant positions on the board are clearly marked, helping you keep track of which roles need to be filled.

  • Other Members: Individuals who are part of the account but not listed in the constitution will be shown separately at the bottom of the page.

2. Downloading a Copy of the Constitution

  • Navigate to the About Tab: Go to the About tab on GovernorHub.

  • Find the Downloads Section: Scroll down until you reach the Committees and Constitution section.

  • Download the Constitution: You can download a copy of your constitution from the options available there.

3. Editing the Constitution

  • Admin-Only Access: Only admins have permission to make changes to the constitution.

  • Editing Instructions: For guidance on how to edit your constitution, refer to our How do I edit the Constitution? article, which provides step-by-step instructions on making updates.

By using the Constitution tab, you can easily track your board’s membership structure, manage term dates, and ensure that your board’s constitution reflects the most up-to-date governance structure.
