If you are administering governance across a governor service, you will be a member of the governor service admin group.

This admin group is set up so it's really clear who has top level admin rights across the service. It also makes it simple for you to administer groups across your service without being added to each individual board.

Once you're an admin on the admin group, you'll be able to see the admin tab. This admin tab is located under the governor services area. From this admin tab, you can access all boards within the service, as well as download reports and post to multiple noticeboards. You should be able to administer the boards all from one place.

Please note, the admin tab is only visible to those in the service admin group. You'll need to add any new admins to the service admin group (usually found in your sidebar) first. They'll then see the admin tab under the service area.

Searching for groups or users

You can use the admin tab to access boards or individual users in your service

Start to type the name and the board name will appear. Click on the tabs under the board and it will open that area on GovernorHub, e.g. the noticeboard.

Change to the People button and you can start to type the name of a user and they will appear. Click on the about button to access their profile on GovernorHub, or select another button, such as training, to be sent to that section directly.

You no longer need to be added to each board in order to administer it. If you're in the service admin group, you can remove yourself from the individual boards and access them via the admin tab instead.

Posting and viewing messages on multiple boards

The admin tab allows you to post the same message on multiple boards in your service and to view noticeboard posts for selected boards all in once place.

You can choose which boards you'd like to see posts for by selecting them from the drop down menu.

This will then show all the recent noticeboard posts from these boards.

Any pinned posts for these noticeboards have been hidden behind an accordion so you can focus on the most recent.

The number of pinned posts will show in brackets and you can view them by clicking on the arrow.

You can then choose to post to these selected boards using the blue send a post button.

The selection of boards you have already chosen to view will be carried over, so you keep this selection or change it at any time by clicking on the grey box. You can also choose the select all button if you want to post a message to all boards.

Clicking the send a post button will open up a box where you can type your message which will be posted to all boards you have selected.

Select post to post your message to these noticeboards in one click.

Downloading reports from multiple boards

You can also use the admin tab to pull reports from multiple boards. Select the Downloads tab and then use the drop down menu to select the boards from which you wish to pull the downloads.

You can then select a report and it will pull that report from each board you have selected and put it into a zip folder.

The admin site

Service admins can still access the admin site for further functionality and features that aid the oversight of your boards. You can access this by going to admin.governorhub.com. Only those set up on the admin group for the service will be able to access the admin site.

Sharing articles and courses from GovernorHub Knowledge.

As a service level admin you can also share articles and courses from GovernorHub Knowledge to selected boards across your trust. Watch our video below for further details.
