When writing a new article or editing an existing News article in your trust resources or service area, you can choose to send the article as an email to all of your governors or to a targeted subset of your governors, based on custom saved queries from the Admin site.

If you Write a new article on your News page, you will have the option to send a notification email out when you publish the article.

By default, you'll have the option to not send the article as an email, or to send it to all of your governors.

However, by saving custom database queries in the Admin site, you can start to target your communications more effectively.

To learn how to save a custom database query, please see our help article here.

Once created and saved, your custom database query will now be one of the available options at the bottom of the article, allowing you to just notify those people, in our example: Headteachers

Please note that all articles that are published on the News page will be visible to everyone who views the page, whether they've received the notification email or not.
