As a governor, you will need to confirm that you've read the latest version of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) on GovernorHub each year so we provide a link to the latest version of KCSiE available, and this will be automatically updated whenever a new version comes into effect.

Recording your confirmation for KCSiE

First head to your Profile page. You can do this by clicking on your name at the top right of the screen and choosing 'Profile'. Once on your profile page, click on the Compliance tab.

If you are not compliant (haven't confirmed since September this academic year). You will see the screen below. There is a link to the document itself (it will always be the most up-to-date version - make sure you read the whole thing) and use the blue confirm button to show you have done so.

If you confirmed you have read and understood a previous version but as yet have not read this year's you will see an amber warning next to the date you confirmed it last.

Just click on the downward arrow, read the document and use the blue reconfirm button to show you have done so.

If you are all up to date you will see the date you last confirmed in green!

To view these confirmations for the rest of your board visit your board area and click on Compliance.

Custom board confirmations

Should your clerk have set up specific confirmations for your board they too will appear in your profile area. You should re-confirm these every year just as you do with your declarations of interest and Keeping Children Safe in Education.
